Banana-Strawberry Quick Shake

To keep it short and sweet, this is  very simple, quick, but delicious after workout shake. I buy a lot of bananas and simply peel them and cut them in half. Place them in a zip lock bag and put them in the freezer (for up to 3 months).  I also have a bag of frozen strawberries in the freezer.

  • 3 frozen strawberries chopped
  • 1/2 frozen banana chopped
  • 12 oz of low- fat milk
  • 2 scoops Herbalife Meal Replacement
  • 1 scoop of  Herbalife protein powder

Place all above ingredients in the blender and blend until smooth.

 BERRY HEALTHY BREAKFAST SHAKE

While just about all smoothies are packed with vitamins since their ingredients are usually fruits and vegetables, there are some healthy smoothies that are healthier and more rich in vitamins than others. This is one of the best healthy smoothies I have come across and its taste can’t be beat. I usually prefer frozen fruit for a better texture and consistency, but frozen or fresh this will be a delicious and healthy breakfast smoothie or anytime smoothie.
Ingredients:

  • 1/2 cup blueberries
  • 1/2 cup strawberries
  • 1/2 cup blackberries
  • 1 medium carrot chopped
  • 1 cup low-fat milk
  • 1/2 cup apple juice
  • 1/2 cup of  low-fat yogurt
  • 2 scoops of  Herbalife Formula 1 Nutritional Shake Mix

Preparation

Place all above ingredients in the blender and blend until smooth.

Serve and enjoy!

Saturday: Shake of the day

    SHAKE IT UP

Replace your typical breakfast with a shake.

Let’s say that you are a morning coffee breakfast kinda person.  Sure if it is a plain ole’ cuppa joe (no carbs no calories) GO FOR IT! But add a  healthy start as well with a shake. I’m a coffee person as well.  But add some white chocolate mocha and whipped cream and you’ve got 58 carbs and 510 calories for a “medium” 16 oz? YIKES! Plus add the claories of the muffin you choose to eat that morning.  How much time will you be on that energy boost, go mode?  About an hour.

Why not start your day off with a shake? It’s delicious, fast, and will hold your energy level for about 3 to 4 hours (depending on what you mix in your shake).  I have several recipes for breakfast smoothies.  Banana-berry Smoothie?  Hawiian Smoothie? Cantaloupe Smoothie?  Just let me know what you like and I will see what I can shake up for you.
